Well, I created my blog months ago and this is the first time I've been back since. I was talking to someone yesterday about creating a website to expand my business but at this time I don't have the money to have one made. First she said I could do it myself, (according to this lady, it is easy to do your own website) then she said,"Well you could always do a blog!" She then went on to say that if I go to blogspot.com I could just fill in the info and POOF there it will be. At the time, I was too embarrassed to tell her that I did have one but hadn't done anything with it. I am really envious of people who have a good grasp of computers and all they can do. I surf the web and check email. Yep, that's it. When I bought my ipod touch 6 months ago my brother said "Really? You bought an Ipod? Isn't that a little 'techie' for you?" I will admit that the only thing I do with my Ipod is listen to music. Even if I did use the calendar and all the other stuff on there, I would probably forget to look in it afterwards to see my schedule LOL. I am trying to juggle my part-time job at the quilt shop with my full-time job as a longarm quilter throw in 3 kids, 1 husband, 3 little dogs, 2 budgies and a hamster and I need at least 2 more days in the week!
I would love to have an online store full of yummy Superior thread and lots of gadgets for all things long arm quilting. I just don't know how or where to start. I love Superior threads and I love my longarm. I am obsessed with the quilting process. I couldn't really care less if I ever piece another quilt top ( well, maybe I do) I just love to lose myself in the moment. Creating beautiful feathers and curls and swirls...............oh, sorry. I drifted off to the pics in my head.
Well, my messy studio is calling. If anyone has any ideas on expanding business to the internet (keep it simple, remember that I'm computer inept!!) I'd love to hear it. I've heard that this online store thing is really catching on!!

My very first Blog!!
I feel so "2010"!!! This is my first blog post and I am very excited. Hopefully I will be able to share my love of long arm quilting and some of my work here. This blog is for my quilting mainly but I can't go very far without bragging about my kids so I suppose they will be 'blogged' about too. Hopefully, today is the day I finish the Oriental quilt that has been on the frame for 3 weeks. This quilt is 105 x 120. Beautiful quilt. I am doing some thread painting in the center panel and applique flowers as well. I really hope my customer loves it!! Lots and lots of hours in this one. Well, off to work.
